Sun Group announced the launch of its next generation High-Definition Digital Signage Solid State Media Player, the Digital FHD SUN-SG1080 which provides a simple, cost effective way to deliver high performance 1080p video with simple plug and play functionality.Designed with SUN GROUP’s signature “out of the box” features, the Digital FHD SUN-SG1080 allows customers to update content using a removable CompactFlash card to auto loop or schedule content playback.
As more digital signage deployments deploy high-definition video, operators need an cost-effective, easy-to-use device that delivers the stunning visual quality of 1080p with the rock-solid reliability of solid-state diskless and fan less design.The Digital FH SUN-SG1080 delivers full 1080p high-definition video via HDMI, DVI, Analog RGB (VGA) and component video outputs.Compatible file formats include MPEG 1/2/4, WMV9, H.264 and JPEG. Standard-definition and 720p content is also supported as well as stereo audio. USB, and serial/RS-232 ports provide connectivity.The compact unit weighs less than 900g and has no hard drive, fan or other moving parts, ensuring high reliability in the field.All on-board software is embedded firmware and media files are stored on an inexpensive removable CompactFlash card in a secured slot.
